Ymere Eenhoorn Circuit

The Netherlands

Graphic Concrete Ymere Eenhoorn Circuit Amsterdam

The Ymere Eenhoorn Circuit project features a remarkably interesting entrance resembling a real racing car circuit. The building, designed by Heren 5 architecten, is a semi-open working space, with the circuit pattern designed by graphic designer Michiel Schuurman. This project marked the first collaboration between Michiel and the precaster, Hillstones B.V., using Graphic Concrete, and the quality delivered was outstanding. Every small detail of the design, including the lines on the concrete ground slabs, enhances the building, making it more intriguing and dynamic.

"We proceeded to create a mock-up since this was the first project for both myself and the precaster using Graphic Concrete. We needed to test aggregates, retarders, and the capabilities of the technique. The testing phase went smoothly and further underscored the extensive capabilities of the technique. I was pleasantly surprised to see how delicate the result turned out to be." - Michiel Schuurman"
